What do you do when you encounter hard times in your journey of life? When you are in the path to accomplishing something great it always comes with opposition. No matter what you are doing in life, in order to succeed, you must face great oppositions. One thing you should always remember, the greater the opposition, the greater the success. The greater the pain, the greater the power. As humans, the one thing we lean towards when we come across those things is the fact that we want to walk away. Walking away looks different for everyone, but you’ve got to walk through it! As you are focusing on losing weight,
remember that you will encounter obstacles. Most of the times, we KNOW the right thing to eat in order for us to meet our goals, but we tend lean towards our cravings and feeding the flesh what it desires and not what is actually beneficial. In spite, of all of that we have hope; Jesus says in John 16:33 -These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. As Christians, we KNOW that our peace comes from above, from our God, Lord and Savior, but the world is troubling. Today we have good (great, awesome, hope filling, peaceable) news and that’s only because Jesus through us have overcame. Because Jesus overcame, we too shall overcome. We shall overcome in our minds and make the right decisions on what to consume. We shall overcome in our bodies, knowing that it is the temple of God and we are to take care of it through proper eating and exercising. He says greater things you will do. He has given us the power!!! Claim it and walk in it! As you embark in this journey, it is important that you document it so that you are able to you are able to encourage someone else on their journey.
Remember that the when you are encountering harder times, you are close to your success! Jesus went through the hardest times just when He was about to die and as He was dying. This was the Greatest thing He had to do; to die for humanity so that we might have a relationship with the Father. Had Jesus not died and went through those hard times and endure those hard times; today, you and I would not have had the hopes of eternal life. Jesus had to drink from that cup in order that you and I might be great and great in everything. He also drunk from that cup so that as His children, we too would know that we can drink from our cups. Who / what is your cup? Are you drinking from it, have you had a drink or have you thrown it to the side? Realize that, every single time you choose to consume the right, you are building endurance and getting stronger. I want to encourage you to be even stronger by taking an action: walk for 10 minutes and increase to that as the days come by and build endurance!
Lastly, I want you to remember that your greatness comes from above. This getting your body in order is not something you are going to able accomplish just by will power; if that was the case, it would have been done, YOU NEED THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST! Colossians 3:2- Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. We look to people to validate us when God has already done so and some of these people become the very opposition that we have to overcome. Set your affection on the things above. This is an action that you must do. You must ask the Holy Spirit help guide your thoughts and your thinking. You must ask the Holy Spirit to guard your heart. Proverbs 4:23- Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. You must put on the all of the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) through Holy Spirit.
You will come across hard times and oppositions, but remember greatness comes with oppositions!
God Bless You!
