If I may but touch.....Mark 5:22-34
There was a certain woman in the crowd, which had an issue of blood twelve,
And had suffered many things, of many physicians, spent all that she had, but rather grew worse. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
With that kind of faith, she was on her knees, pushing through the crowd, she was low but her faith was greater. She reached out to not even touch his body or the whole part of his garment, but right where she was at, low, she touched just the hem of his garment.
29 ....her blood was dried up; she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Jesus turned his attention to her, because she had the faith not just to touch parts of his body, which many surrounding him, that was even closer to him was already doing.
She had such faith in Jesus to heal her
She believed that if I would only touch what is touching Jesus, I shall be made whole.
That is what made Jesus turn around, to see and acknowledge such faith in him.
31-34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Whole not just healed outwardly but inward peace and deliverance as well. There were many pressing up against him and didn’t receive their healing. This is what happens in some circumstances, you come to Church one way and leave the same way, never receiving, peace, joy, or an answer that you need from God. It is your faith in Him and what He can do that will cause you to receive from God that which you need.
The pushing of the crowd represents the things and people that you will have to push through and away from to receive your wholeness.
Wholeness not often in your body only, but in your mind, heart, emotions and will.
It is about how you believe that He is great
Believe God right where you are at, it’s not about how great your faith is, it is about how you believe that He is great and that causes you’re your faith in Him to be great.
